This watch is inspired by the 1968 original diver's watch, re-created with a thinner bezel. It's powered by a 6R15 automatic movement, which beats at 21,600 times an hour. It's a great watch with a ton of wrist presence. The blue and black sunray dial really makes this model stand out over the other black dialed models. The easy to read dial features luminous indexes and contemporary hands. The first impression that I got about the Seiko Prospex SPB083J1 after strapping it on is that this watch has a truly unique dial. The stunning blue gradient fill direction is different. The new Seiko has greatly improved the functionality, with the sapphire crystal, with more than 200 meters of water resistance in addition to the stainless steel strap.
